What is ECS ?

The aircraft HVAC system is called ECS which stands for Environmental Control System. 

I bet you are curious to know more about Cabin HVAC.  Before we can jump to the good stuff, we need to familiarize with some  Air Handling terminologies such as:

• ACH – Air Changes per Hour 
• CADR – Clean Air Delivery Rate
• HEPA – High-efficiency particulate air
• ULPA – Ultra Low Particulate Air
• MERV – Minimum Efficiency Reporting Values
